We’re here to help with all your question and answers in one place.
Q1: Which type of sealing machine should I choose?
A1: The type of sealing machine you should choose depends on many factors, such as the product being packaged, size, packaging material, daily packaging volume, whether vacuum packaging is required, and whether the package needs to be frozen or sterilized after sealing.
Please provide details about the largest packaging bag size, material, and requirements when inquiring, and we will recommend a suitable sealing machine for you.
Q2: What is the difference between an instant heating sealing machine and a direct heating sealing machine?
A2: Instant heating sealing machines do not require preheating and can be used immediately after plugging in. They are suitable for most types of packaging bags (thicker or multi-layer bags require dual-wire sealing). After sealing, a cooling (condensing) time is needed, resulting in longer sealing times per bag.
Direct heating sealing machines require 7-10 minutes of preheating and are suitable for thicker nylon, aluminum foil, or paper bags with laminated inner layers.
Q3: How do I choose a vacuum sealing machine?
A3: Common vacuum sealing machines are classified into chamber-type (groove), nozzle-type, and small external groove type.

*Nozzle-type vacuum sealing machines may let a small amount of air into the bag, reducing vacuum degree.
Q4: Can regular plastic bags be vacuum-sealed?
A4: Due to the material of regular plastic bags (such as PE, PP, OPP, etc.), they cannot maintain a vacuum state for long. Air will eventually seep in over time.
For vacuum sealing needs, it is recommended to use nylon (Nylon) or aluminum foil (Alum.) bags for the best results.
Q5: How to choose a vacuum bag?
A5: There are various vacuum bags available in the market, each suitable for different vacuum sealing machines. Please refer to the table below:
Q6: Why do instant heating sealing machines often have poor seals, or the seals are wrinkled or loose?
A6: Instant heating sealing machines require a cooling time. After the sealing process is complete, do not release immediately. Hold for a few seconds based on the sealing time setting to allow the seal to cool.
This process makes the seal smoother and extends the life of heating wires and heat-resistant fabrics.
Q7: Why is cooling time needed for instant heating sealing machines?
A7: The cooling time ensures the seal is firm and smooth, and it also extends the lifespan of consumables.
Q8: Why can’t direct heating sealing machines handle widths over 600MM?
A8: Over time, the long sealing jaws may warp due to high temperatures, causing uneven seals and poor aesthetics.
Q9: What are common consumables for sealing machines?
A9:
Instant heating: heating wire, heat-resistant fabric, heat-resistant tape, silicone, and fiberboard (replaceable by users).
Direct heating: heating plate.
Q10: How long is the warranty for sealing machines?
A10: Hand-operated sealing machines come with a 6-month warranty, while other machines have a 1-year warranty. Consumables and damages caused by user error are not covered.
Examples of user damage include plugging into the wrong voltage, improper use, opening the machine casing, or installing non-company parts.
Q11: Why does a direct heating sealing machine burn through the bag?
A11: If the sealing temperature is correctly set but the bag still burns, the heating plate may be malfunctioning, causing the temperature control system to fail. In this case, the heating plate should be replaced.
Q12: Is the speed of an external vacuum sealing machine fast?
A12: The vacuum speed depends on the size of the bag. Larger bags take longer, while bags that are close in size to the content vacuum faster.
Q13: How do I know how long to set the sealing time?
A13: The material, thickness, shape, and any printing on the bag affect sealing time. It is recommended to test for the shortest time that provides a perfect seal. Alternatively, you can send samples for us to test.
